The male and the female were seen flying a few km west of Prins Karls Forland, Svalbard, Norway.
Photographed from Polarstern while counting for Polar Ecology (POLe). 78° 20' 6.53"N / 9° 47' 8.07"E. 5th record for the WP (Norway 1933, 1988 & 1997 & Svalbard 2002).
Discovered by Raphaël Lebrun, also seen by Diederik D'Hert, Jeremy Demey. The birds were seen at the first day of the second part of the polar expedition.
